Approved Arrangement Management Product (AAMP) FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) to support AAMP users when using TradeClear.

What is AAMP?

  • The Approved Arrangements Management Product (AAMP) is a web application biosecurity industry participants (BIPs) can use to view and update their approved arrangement details.
  • The application is available for use by all BIPs operating under an approved arrangement under Chapter 7 of the Biosecurity Act 2015.  Individuals who are listed as the AA Manager (or contact person for an arrangement) can register to use AAMP.  This includes accessing the relevant arrangement details.

Is the location of AAMP changing?

  • From mid-2026, you can access AAMP via TradeClear.
  • Any bookmarks or hyperlinks to AAMP that you currently have will not be broken and can continue to be used.

How will I now access AAMP?

  • Finding the AAMP application has been designed to be as simple as possible.
  • From the TradeClear Landing Page, you will be presented with a choice of viewing either ‘Export’ or ‘Import and biosecurity services’.
  • By selecting ‘Import and biosecurity’ you will be taken to the Import and biosecurity page.
  • The Import and biosecurity page will display a link ‘Self-manage approved arrangement’
  • By clicking the link, you can sign into AAMP.
  • You may also continue to use your saved hyperlinks/bookmarks to access AAMP.

Will signing into AAMP be the same?

  • Yes. Once you have clicked onto the link, you will be asked to sign in.
  • How you log into AAMP will not change and your account details will remain the same.
  • You can also access other biosecurity applications but will need to sign-in separately.

Can I still register to use AAMP from TradeClear?

  • Yes. Once you have signed into your TradeClear account you can link to the AAMP application from within the portal and proceed to register for AAMP.
  • The same business rules will apply in terms of AAMP registration.  You must be listed in the Approved Arrangement as either the AA Manager or the site contact person.

I am a registered AA Manager/contact.  Will I still be able to add, update and remove a contact for my AA?

How will I request an MFA device reset if I need one?

What if I am having trouble logging into my account?

  • Self-help articles will be available on the TradeClear portal.  If you are still unable to resolve your issue, please contact the TradeClear ServiceDesk as per the below:
  • Email tradeclearsupport@aff.gov.au or call 1800 571 125, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm AEST

How will I be able to access other applications?

  • You can access applications other than AAMP from TradeClear.
  • From the Landing Page, you can select to view either Export or Import and biosecurity services.
  • By selecting ‘Import and biosecurity’ you will be taken to the Import and biosecurity page.
  • Links to multiple biosecurity services and applications will be displayed on this page.
  • Please select the service you want and, where applicable, log-in as you do today.
  • You will need to log-in separately to other biosecurity applications until they have been onboarded to TradeClear.

What is authenticated and unauthenticated access?

  • If authenticated access to a system or application is needed, then the person wanting access must prove who they are to access that system.
  • Access to the authenticated components of TradeClear will require a user to sign in with either their email sign in or myID.
  • Unauthenticated access refers to access where you are not required to tell us who you are (no sign-in is needed).
  • For example, the unauthenticated TradeClear Landing Page can be accessed by any member of the public.

What do I need to do?

  • No action is required from you at this stage.
  • For users of other biosecurity applications, once TradeClear is launched you will be able to use it to link directly to your service until it is onboarded.

What are the benefits of these changes?

Convenience

  • From many websites to a single user interface or ‘front door’.

Efficiency

  • Users can log-in once and then access their applications and services in a single session.

Enhanced User Experience

  • Accessing services will be easier and simplified by fewer websites and sign-ins.

Improved Cyber Security

  • The Authenticator App will strengthen our systems against future cyber-attacks.

New Account Functionality

  • Single Sign-On (SSO) plus one time attribute collection (Tell Us Once)
  • Users can link an ABN business to their Account through RAM.  This won’t change how approved arrangement registrations are managed in BIIS-AA.
  • Sign-in via myID or an email sign-in (credentialling choice)
  • Users can manage their personal information and credentials within the Account

What future developments are planned?

  • Post July, we will continue to onboard both export and biosecurity applications.
  • As the number of onboarded applications grows, the feature richness for users will increase.

How will I be supported in using TradeClear?

  • The STEPS Change Team will continue to support you through their existing communication channels, including the Biosecurity Portal and the Provider Hub.
