Viewing past Requests for Permits in PEMS

Find Requests for Permit (RFPs) you submitted before they were renamed Requests for Export (REXs).

In future, when the Plant Export Management System (PEMS) connects to the Next Export Documentation system (NEXDOC), Requests for Permit (RFPs) will be called Requests for Export (REXs). You can find past RFPs in PEMS.

To do this, use the same search function you would use for REXs.

How to find a past Request for Permit

There are 2 ways to search for a Request for Permit (RFP).

If you know the RFP number

Follow these steps to find a past RFP:

  1. Sign in, opens in a new tab to TradeClear to access PEMS. If you’re not sure how to find PEMS from your TradeClear account, follow the steps in Switching user roles in PEMS.
  2. In PEMS, select ‘Search REX’.

  3. Go to ‘REX number’ and enter the 7-digit RFP number.

If you don’t know the RFP number

You can search for an RFP by using ‘search inspections’. Note: The ‘search inspections’ tile is not available to all user roles.

You can search by:

  • container number
  • International Maritime Organisation (IMO) number
  • establishment name or number
  • AO name or number
  • date range.

Reasons for viewing past RFPs

Once you’ve found an RFP, you can view information associated with it including:

  • commodity details
  • import permits
  • calibration, treatment supervision or inspection records.

You can also submit digital service requests for:

  • permit authorisations
  • in-transit cold treatment certificates
  • declarations and certificates as to condition (EX188 declarations).
