How is an account different to management or control?

Your TradeClear role is not the same as being in management or control.

  • Account
  • Management or control
  • Establishment
  • Roles
  • Export operations

Having a TradeClear account gives you different permissions to being in management or control.

TradeClear account and roles

When you create a TradeClear account with myID, you will be assigned a TradeClear role.

There are 4 roles with varying permissions and access levels. TradeClear roles are not related to management or control.

For more information, go to Roles and access levels in TradeClear.

Management or control

Management or control is the list of staff who have the authority to direct:

  • export operations, or a substantial part of the export operations, of the business
  • another person described as above in the exercise of that authority.

You can be listed in management or control for a registered establishment or on an export licence.

This means that in TradeClear you can:

  • manage a registered establishment, or
  • submit and manage export licence applications (coming soon).

For more information on management or control for registered establishments, go to What is management or control?.
